Rubric Elements

Rubrics are used to examine whether students have met the criteria for successfully completing objectives for the course.  The good thing about using rubrics is they spell out for the student exactly what is expected for them to performance at a high level for success.

 A rubric is a guideline for assessing student performance. It is the criteria or scoring rules against which student work will be judged.  One purpose of a rubric is to establish the key criteria that students can use in developing, revising, and judging their own work.

Examine the rubrics below for Standards 1, 2, 3.  You may select certain criteria to used when grading student projects, papers, and reports.
